It is the first large deep mine with the mining depth exceeding a kilometer in China, and is characterized by deep shaft, high stress, high temperature, high pressure large inflow, high sulfur content, complex and difficult-to-beneficiate ores, rockburst trend, etc. The mine has a construction capacity of 13,000 t/d, and was completed at the end of 2004. Sublevel open stoping with backfilling method, main shaft - auxiliary shaft - service shaft development, consolidated filling of total tailings and waste, large-capacity semi-autogenous mill + ball mill process are adopted.
China ENFI is the first to apply large-capacity consolidated filling of total tailings process and to use large-capacity semi-autogenous mill + ball mill process in China. Thus, Dongguashan Copper Mine becomes a modern large-capacity deep mine integrating efficient mining, earth pressure and rockburst monitoring, large-capacity double skip hoisting and large-capacity side-bottom dumping truck transportation. ENFI undertakes the design of continued deep construction project.
